Corey Morris serves as the Director of Digital Strategy for ER Marketing. With nearly a dozen years of experience in the digital marketing industry, he currently leads digital marketing and interactive teams within the firm. His analytical and competitive abilities make him a natural at leading local and national brands to success in the digital field. His ability to build sustainable ongoing strategies has resulted in numerous brands receiving staggering results and increased ROI. Corey serves as a key thought leader for technology teams, agencies, the media, and most importantly, for his clients.
Corey enjoys the fast paced worlds of technology and marketing and has been heard monthly on Tech Circuit on KMBZ in Kansas City, which has been the only radio show dedicated to Kansas City's emergence as a tech hub. He also speaks at conferences and with students including past engagements at SMX West (2015 and 2012 on SEO topics), the 2016 SEMPO Member Forum, the 2016 emfluence Marketing Platform User Conference, at KCDMA events, and at client national meetings and conventions.
Corey's speaking engagements and award winning work has gained attention in recent years. In 2015, he was selected by SEMPO as the leader for the newly launched SEMPO Cities initiative in Kansas City. Recently, SEMPO Cities KC held a successful inaugural KC Search Conference, bringing together the top search marketers in the Midwest. At the event, Corey served as lead organizer, a session moderator, and emcee. In 2016, Corey was elected to a three-year term on the international board of SEMPO and serves as the chair for the worldwide SEMPO Cities program.
Additionally, Corey serves on the Professional Advisory Committee at Northwest Missouri State University. Although he did not attend school there, his strong relationship with the University provides students with access to digital marketing mentoring, internships, and career coaching.
Corey earned his MBA with a focus in marketing from Rockhurst University. He received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a Marketing emphasis from William Jewell College in Liberty, MO.
